GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Brings Mobile Suits to the Tabletop

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE officially launched in October 2026, bringing Mobile Suit Gundam units into a competitive miniature tabletop game. It connects the hands-on appeal of building and painting with strategic squad-based combat, giving model kit fans and tabletop players a new way to engage with the franchise. The miniatures are approximately 5 cm, so they offer a compact canvas for personalizing a squad before game time.

The $35 Starter Set includes six pre-assembled miniatures: RX-78-2 Gundam, Char’s Zaku II, Wing Gundam Zero EW, Gundam Epyon, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, and Gundam Vidar. Players also get tactics cards, unit cards, a game map, dice, terrain, and tokens. That mix gives newcomers the core components to explore the tabletop side of the game while bringing familiar Mobile Suit designs into a squad-based format. The build-and-paint aspect adds a hands-on step between opening the set and planning a match.

For a shop with model kits and anime collectibles, GUNDAM ASSEMBLE sits at the intersection of several customer interests. It can prompt conversations with Gunpla builders curious about miniature games, tabletop players drawn to Mobile Suit teams, and collectors interested in the units included in the Starter Set. Bandai plans to release more than 30 items globally within the first year, making the launch a useful moment to follow future assortment details and customer questions. If you’re interested in the overlap between building, painting, and tactical play, share which Mobile Suit you’d choose for your first squad.
